Meet the Doctor

Dr. Kirby Gengler is a Palmer College of Chiropactic graduate. Dr. Gengler practiced in Frankfort, KY for 9 years. Dr. Kirby and Kelly are blessed to have two children, Quinn (9) and Kiele (4).  In January of 2008 they moved their family back to Iowa so they could be closer to their extended families.

Dr. Gengler has had extensive training in the following:

Pregnancy adjusting, Autism, fibromyalgia, Cranial Sacral therapy thru the Upledger Institue, SOT, Activator therapy, tissue and muscle rehabilitation. He is one of the few Doctors in the United States who is certified to do C.A.T.s adjusting.  He is currently taking the DAN! training.

Dr. Gengler's office is for the entire family.  He has adjusted new babies right after delivery, all the way to the great grandparents.  He has done a lot of work with Autisitc kids, kids with nutritional deficits, ADD, ADHD and other spinal misalignments.

Our office philosophy is that your whole body is connected and Dr. Gengler looks for the origin of the problem to correct from the onset. 

The Gengler's firmly believe in supporting their community.  In November they collect items to send to Soldiers in Irac and Afganastan.  In December they do a toy drive. Last year the toys went to Parkersburg, IA tornado victims.  In February Dr. Gengler participates in the National Doctors with a Heart food drive.  In April Dr. Gengler focuses on Autism and our personal journey with this illness. In June is our Annual Patient Appreciation Day. This is our day to say THANK-YOU for being great patients. It is a great day for everyone.  

Dr Gengler does offer personalized screening for vitamins and minerals with thru Standard Process.  We also have Bio-freeze, Sombra, Young Living Essential Oils and Mannatech products for sale.

We are located in Clive, Iowa but across the street is West Des Moines.  This office is located behind Anglo Jewlers and Granite City resturaunt.  We are in the plaza with Heirlooms furnishings, Chladek prostetics and Golf Pros.

Meet the Staff:

Carol Stephens come to us bringing her  expertise as a Certified Fitness Trainer.  She is a vital part of our office team.  If you have any questions about anything, Carol is here to find you the answers.  If you have fitness questions, Carol is the expert.

Kelly Gengler is in the office now and then.  Her primary focus is marketing and promotions.  She does answer the phones, make appointments and provide therapy.  Throw any question her way and you are sure to get it answered.  Kelly is a Licensed Massage Therapist, with special training in Cranial Sacral Therapy  and Lymphatic Drainage from Upledger Institute.

 Julie Niehaus has just joined our staff.  You will see her sunshiney smile on Fridays.

Kirby and I are in the process of developing this foundation.  The basis behind it is this: Most families that have autisitc children are denied health insurance and/or have limited benefits for alternative health care procedures.  We want to ensure that all families can afford to have alternative therapies for their autistic kids. We want this foundation to be there to offer financial support for those familes who are seeking hands on therapies such as: chiropractic, massage, cranial sacral and lymphatic work. We are also discussing a way to have a reimbursement for supplements. 

As I said, this is in the beginning stages, but I hope to have it up and running by March 2010.
